Rationale
It will be great idea to get in Ubuntu such function:
two working places from one PC.
2 TFT displays, two keyboard, 2 mice, one (HDD, CPU,RAM, Network) is cheaper than the same plus two HDD, CPU, RAM, etc. It's VERY useful for developing countries (Russia, Africa, etc).
It also save money and power
So with ncomputing, it is already possible to have up to 30 virtual computers per real computer, and I suspect with some tinkering, you could have more.
we have this feature, is it easy? seems like something that should be in the handbook at least. more and more people want to do it and it could be the feature that brings people in.
You can do this with any video card that support two separate monitors. Nvidia can do this fairly easy, but yes having built in support and a nice GUI would be promising.
I did this to my home computer, and instead of buying two sub-par computers (minimalist budget available) I bought one computer, and spent some of the saved cash on the one computer. Now both of my brothers can use the computer at the same time.
