Related to: Nothing/Others. Status: In development
Description
It appears that one needs to create separate accounts (username and password) for ubuntuforums.org, launchpad.net and brainstorm.ubuntu.com

How difficult would it be to implement a single login?

Update : NOT a duplicate of OpenID idea #9.
Tags: (none)

Developer comments
OpenID will be implemented as the single-sign-on solution for Ubuntu websites.

They have thought about implementing OpenID I think...

No OpenID please!

But 1 login for all sites on ubuntu would be very good.

What stops you from creating three identical logins at each site the way I do it? I see no real benifit from this

Obviously this idea is not for improving functionality, but making things easier. +1

Better to do via OpenID.. This is a dupe anyway

OpenID, ubuntuID, the word here is SINGLE-SIGN-ON!

I add too community sites and launchpad

Btw, how the hell does openid not fix this?

I voted this up... After creating an account and commenting on the idea I was reading at the time I decided to sign up, this is the first thing I searched for. I find it very annoying to have to maintain three accounts for the three things I am likely to use most in Ubuntuland-online.

Single Sign-On PLEASE!

However: It does tno have to be OpenID... I guess that many people (including myslef) would prefer this to be an ubuntu-centric single sign-on. Honestly, I don't know what to make of the OpenID thing just yet and am not ready to commit to it. Sometimes I don't want my identity so easily correlated across the web. When chosing between living under a rock and wearing a tin-foil hat, I'll take mine shiny-side-out please.

I would agree making the same LOGINID and password for the three sites - which i find very comfortable with!
