Bonjour!
VLC has a trunk repository for Ubuntu/Debian. How about a official sepparate and optional trunk repository where all Packages ends with "-trunk"? (unsupported of course) In this Repository MOTU can test and evaluate future releases (especially just before a new release or with release candidates) for faster including to standard repositories, if they are stable enough by release.

Shure I want the latest VLC, but still it's best to not include software that hasn't been tested enough.
