Its a good idea, but the question is, would people bother waiting for their keyboard to arrive, or would they just buy one from any store.

You'd want it to have backlighting and be a pretty spiffy keyboard, otherwise, people may go for something else.

Much Better! Not only a Ubuntu logo in keyboard. Make Better! Create a Unique (or more than once) layout for the Ubuntu Keyboard.

I have an idea separately:

For people that need to write in more than one language, make a keyboard that's make possible change the characters (mini LCDs in all keys) by a program. And change not only the map-software, but the map-hardware too. Than you can write in English, Russian, German, Japanese, Korean, and so on... Make a basic (or expansive/modular) keyboard for this.

Yes, we really need this. I hate it to have that flag on all of my keyboards. I want keyboard without that flag. I want keyboard with the Ubuntu-logo or with Tux on it.

Please Canonical, start selling these keyboards. I'd immediately replace all of my keyboards.

Also to keep it green, I'm in favour of a USB keyboard, no wireless thing please. Just personal preference.
