Description

Hye,

I think adding Jarnal software to Ubuntu is good idea because there is no equivqlent software in repository (In fact i search and can't find one)

The Jarnal adress web site is :

http://www.dklevine.com/general/software/tc1000/jarnal.htm

Regards

Leon

This isn't exactly the proper place to get stuff included in the repositories. What you'd need to go is make a report on launchpad about this.

I found an example one here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/148164

For you to work off. Good luck!

From what I can see, it's just a note taker... there IS something like that on Ubuntu, it's called Tomboy

Well - Jarnal is unique in some ways. Tomboy is just a note taker. Jarnal and Xournal have stylus support making them great for tablets and handwriting.

Booth Jarnal and Xournal can (using handwriting and a stylus) annotate pdf. However - Xournal (on my hardy heron anyways) cant reopen the saved, annotated files - i.e. useless.

Jarnal is java - which means that Its a good option if you (like I) need to share annotated pdf's from between MS windows and Linux.

So I vote for Jarnal in the repository
