Rationale
Bandwidth is pretty expensive, and restricted in a number of countries.

So in the software center, it would be nice to know how large the programs are, before downloading them. At the moment, for myself its click and pray

Reason #1 that I've moved over to Synaptic/apt-get for everyhting. This and lack of indication of download speed
