Rationale
LiveCD are great because they let you try the system without touching the hard disk!
but they miss something..
if you allow the user to save session somewhere and load it at boot time you can:
1) you can install and try restricted driver from liveCD that meed to reboot... (example: try the nvidia/ati restricted driver before installing Ubuntu)
2) be able to install more program than what your ram can hold
3) as a consequence of points 1) and 2) you can truly try Ubuntu Linux without any restriction before installing it
4) completely portable installation on a liveCD + usb key/external hard drive
5) ... may be other useful think i can't think about at the moment ...
