Idea #17713: there are open-source packages among "multiverse"

bug This entry was marked as not being an idea the 28 January 09. If this is a bug report, please use the Ubuntu bug tracker.
Written by dinar the 28 Jan 09 at 07:57. Related project: Synaptic package manager. Status: Not an idea
Rationale
there are open-source packages among "multiverse" but package descriptions [in ubuntu repository] does not show that. open-source packages are more trustable. example of open-source "multiverse" package - unrar, some python file, and by the way i say about a question that appeared for me yesterday - mplayer plugin for firefox and one other was requested when opening a web-page, i looked them in synaptic, they are "multiverse", i look them at their site - there are gpl license , may be only their required package is "multiverse".

why this my idea is "invalid"? why do not you give ideas ability to get votes instantly? who decides whether they should pass to voting? you are killing brainstorm site or at least maybe i go away from here. it is set to "invalid" and no explanation here.
