VLC process problem
Written by WolfiE the 20 Aug 08 at 18:57. Not an idea
I have noticed when using ubuntu (and windows for that matter), that vlc will sometimes fail when opening a file, or appear to, only when I close the program the process stays alive and plays me the audio, so I have to end or kill the process manually. Could this not be done automatically ?
This has only happened once or twice, and I'm not sure I could recreate it deliberately.

Solution #1: Auto-generated solution of idea #12386
Written by WolfiE the 20 Aug 08 at 18:57.
Ubuntu Brainstorm was updated in January 2009. Since the idea #12386 was submitted before this update, its rationale and solution are not separated. Please vote accordingly, and if you have the necessary rights, please separate the rationale from the solution. Thanks!

Play next movie in a folder
Written by dima.shmidt the 5 Jun 09 at 06:59. Not an idea
When I used a GOM player (http://www.gomlab.com),
when you click on movie - it makes automatic playlist of all video files in a folder that you watch current movie,
and when it finishes player start to play next until last file in a folder.

List of files is sorting by alphabet,
so it's very usefull when you watch TV series,
for ex. House M.D. - you don't need to make a playlist or if you forgot to do this - get up to computer and press "next" button.

Support For Amazon Video on Demand Videos
Written by dcornibe the 5 May 09 at 18:11. New
What else can I say? It would be one less thing I would need Windows for! I have a few downloaded Amazon VOD movies on my Windows machine. (I am in the process of considering Ubuntu since Windows sucks and I can't afford a Mac.)
