Actually, the program vinagre don't implements SSH security.
If we put a password to connect to a remote desktop, an black hacker can intercepts the password.

Easy VNC secure connection between system on Pendrive and Home Computer

The idea is to provide an easy graphic interface as part of an Ubuntu install on a pendrive, to provide a secure connection (with SSH tunneling) in Vinagre for Remote Desktop Access by Internet.
This connection could link the system installed on the pendrive (that you can use on any computer) and your home computer, so you can access and control it securely from any other computer with Internet connection.
Some examples of usage (and possible features):
- Remote synchronization/comparison of Home folders
- File upload/download between both systems
- Synchronization of Firefox bookmarks and history
- Check download status at aMule, ask for new torrent downloads in Deluge...
Of course a strong password will be necessary to avoid intrusions, so it can be automatically generated and stored in both systems keyrings when the pendrive installation is complete (if user needs this optional feature).

This functionality is available in VirtualBox, and allows you to share your desktop with a virtual machine. This same functionality should be included for remote computers.

Allow any way of easy configuration for securing VNC connections with SSH (or other method) between Ubuntu computers.
I know that you can do a SSH tunneling from terminal but it's really annoying. Please make a way to configure one of those from the GUI.

Vino|Vinagre Proposal (Java applet + Track cursor Locally)

Vino is a good Vnc server BUT doesn't contain a Java Applet for http connections.
Vinagre, instead, doesn't allow:
-> Custom Desktop Color depth
-> Track Cursor locally (it's hard to move remote cursor if screencast is glitchy
-> Select compression

Solve remote sound&printer issues; see supposingly solved idea #106

This is a copy of my post on idea #106: Easy and powerfull Remote-Deskop so this issue gets noticed. Thank you for your attention and help making Ubuntu even more usable!
Sorry if I read over the solution but I just don't see how this idea has actually been solved. I still see the sound/printer/etc issues and ease of use missing. "Developers comment" only suggests solutions that -- do my knowledge -- don't adress these issues!
How about making XDMCP accessible much more easily and extend it with artsd as technosaurus pointed out? Also I suppose everyone would agree on an option to enforce encryption/ssh just like gnomes vnc (remote desktop) preferences.
Evenmore I would welcome a solution where I'd have a second gdm on a separate tty so I could switch to the remote desktop by pressing e.g. Alt+Ctrl+F6 and sit right infront of the remote monitor -- only that I don't -- plus use everything I have right at my hands, i.e. local USB devices, speakers, ... I'd suggest to go all the way and have some init script similar to /etc/init.d/gdm (this, of course, could then easily be called from any GUI). Everything in dayly use would be completely transparent and no different from local GDM.

SSH tunneling option in Vinagre
|

The only reason I don't use Vinagre (a GREAT vnc client if you ask me) is due to the fact that it doesn't do SSH tunneling like "vncviewer -via". Vinagre's bookmarking system would make it simple for me to connect to a vnc server through an SSH tunnel quickly without fussing with the command line typing the server's name every time.
This request for enhancement is found on GNOME's Bugzilla at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478036 .
