Totem's interface is straightforward and functional, this is fact. However, it could be more "eye-candy, more elegant to the eye. I believe that a remodeled design, visual identity with a best (and only, preferably) be the solution. An example of players I like and think are visually elegant and Miro or player Amarok (of course, is just one example. By no means am I saying to create a similar design!).

In short, a whole new look, with its own identity (less like Gnome or Ubuntu, more like a new Totem).
