Kernel crash dumps are extremely useful for debugging purposes. Many enterprise server Linux distributions have this functionality (Red Hat even has NetDump, which sends the dump over an SCP connection to a NetDump server), but Ubuntu appears to be lacking in this.
Ubuntu should implement an easy-to-configure network crash dump solution, in order to be taken more seriously in the enterprise server market. Perhaps it may be even possible to extend the functionalty of KDump to do this.
There is a blueprint outlining dumps to disk, but this needs to be extended, as some drive controllers may not be supported by KDump.

It would make ubuntu much less intimidating for windows server admins if there was a gui which allowed configuation of common network services such as:
web
ssh
mail
database
vpn
dhcp
ldap
dns
Some of these are easier than others but I have seen very little work on this front and I think it will help win over windows admins.
