Most of the Islamic literature is in arabic, which isolates many of the non-arab bros/sisters. Translating the literature is only a temporary solution. The root solution would be teaching them arabic.

Hence I propose a software that would teach them arabic, probably based on gcompris, I'm not sure.

A simple language tutor would be very useful but it should support more than one language, even if it started with one particular one in mind.

One of the nice things about open source is that people in different countries can contribute translations without having to write code. If you are creating language teaching software I think it would be best to write it in such a way it could be extended to support any other language.

Ideally it would have lots of visual examples as well.
