SMS functionality is hidden and unnatural
Written by nelson.blaha the 9 Apr 09 at 14:56. New
Pidgin SMS functionality (through AIM), while potentially very impressive, is not visible to novice users. Even if they find out about it, it is rather unintuitive to use.

Solution #1: libpurple SMS application
Written by nelson.blaha the 9 Apr 09 at 14:56.
A libpurple application that achieves the proper linux implementation of different programs for different purposes by taking care of SMS needs. Ideally, it should accept importing of phone books. This way, SMS capabilities would make more sense to novices.
