An Advantage of the century LOL.
Written by TooSmart the 18 Jul 10 at 17:53. Related project: Wine. Not an idea
Since there are now not any automatic updates for Windows XP, many agencies a vulnerable to hackers since they don't know about this, so I was thinking this is our chance to induce companies to use Ubuntu!

Solution #1: Make sure to intergrate Wine HQ or CrossOver
Written by TooSmart the 18 Jul 10 at 17:53.
So the programs that they use work perfectly and we could make some money for research and development. Also apply a wine theme so people will adjust to it, instead of the ugly default theme. :)

Make Ubuntu Brainstorm Website Code Opensource!
Written by TooSmart the 4 Jun 10 at 16:28. Related project: brainstorm.ubuntu.com. Category: Others. Already implemented
Why? Because Canonical has no Idea what to do with it anyway so why not give it to companies who can actually use it!!

Solution #1: Why Not?
Written by TooSmart the 4 Jun 10 at 16:28.
1)It will follow our philosophy
2)Other major companies who actually want to improve their company unlike Ubuntu, can modify it and follow it.
3)Companies can instantly implement ideas by putting employees and machine monitoring both popular ideas and ideas the employees like.
4)Companies will implement a bug, package, and feedback page within their brainstorm so that way the process is easier for them.
5)Companies can create their website with a comparison to other companies when it comes to features, etc.
E.g. If an OS is missing features that another OS has which is a really basic, small feature that companies can quickly implement so that it will be available in an update.

How to stop the freezing problem in Ubuntu.
Written by TooSmart the 6 Jun 10 at 21:49. Global category: Others. Not an idea
I hate that Ubuntu freezes often on my computer and it a popular search on Google now,so i stumbled across a possible solution.

What we know:
Ubuntu will take up all of your CPU and/or RAM and then freeze, making you angry and having to manually turn-off your computer. No shortcuts-terminal "halt"(which only works in root and in my opinion really stupid...) since everything is frozen.

Solution #1: Hydrogen drum Machine Code!!
Written by TooSmart the 6 Jun 10 at 21:49.
I'm pretty sure that Hydrogen drum machine is open source or whatever and noticed on their change-log that it said that on of the bugs fixed is taking up to much RAM or CPU! So,(easier said than done) asked the developers how it was fixed and implement it into Ubuntu!

There should be a software request box in the Ubuntu Software Center program
Written by TooSmart the 31 Dec 09 at 00:36. Global category: Others. New
That would be cooler than instead of going through the complicated process of requesting packages. The Ubuntu software center helps you skip the tedious process of having to extract files and choosing which to save and download,(meaning that the USC program does the work for you). For example, if somebody wanted the game called N (a ninja game)which is somewhat confusing to install for Linux you can simply request it by typing the name, select what category it is in(in a drop-down), add additional details, tags, websites (location),etc.

Solution #1: There should be a box.
Written by TooSmart the 31 Dec 09 at 00:36.
There should be a box at the bottom of the Ubuntu Software Center where you can type in a requested program that you want to be part of the software center for easy installation. Then the can categorize the program with a drop-down,add additional details, tags, websites(for program location),etc. Once you hit the button "Request"(or whatever you want to call it) a dialog box will say successfully submitted, duplicate, etc. And then that request will be sent to the developers.

Solution #2: #1 plus upload source
Written by Afroman10496 the 1 Jan 10 at 00:52.
Add the option to upload a source tarball in the request so developers can make it in a nice .deb package in the repos.

Solution #3: Gathering statistic.
Written by Lachu the 1 Jan 10 at 22:26.
Allow users to enable gathering statistic options. Data of appcenter usage(terms inputed to search field) will be send to Canonical servers.

Today we only gathering data about installed software in our system, but not about search words.

Solution #4: There could be a deny function as well
Written by TooSmart the 3 Jan 10 at 21:07.
If somebody wanted to request some thing with linux viruses the developers could say deny with an explanation why.

Why would you demote this?
