Smart user interface.
Written by Lachu the 9 Dec 09 at 14:55. Not an idea
People have disappointed, when seen too many icons/buttons. We need more smart interface to giving user, what they need.

Solution #1: Automatically hidding unneded or disabled buttons.
Written by Lachu the 9 Dec 09 at 14:55.
GUI of Open Office should been redesigned. There are too many buttons on top of screen. Many buttons are not required in certainly situation/cases. Some others can be moved to status bar and show only if we can use it(for example save and save as button).

Behavior:
1) When we open oowriter without an document, there should be only open and new document buttons.
2) When we open an document, but not start editing, we should have social features, like send by e-mail, check spelling, etc. This set of features would been showed, when we save document and don't change document after this.
3) When document were changed, we must display "document change"(or "save the document") information icon on status bar(this icon should have green-highlighted borders). Once user clicked it, there should appear options such like: make backup of previous version, save this version as, write on previous version.

Solution #2: Restrict options.
Written by Lachu the 1 May 10 at 21:09.
Restrict accessible(displayed) options to dependent on objects used in document. If I open text-only document, OO only shows text tools. If document have a picture, the picture panel are also displayed. I can show other panel by special mode/insert button.

Speedup document edition.
Written by Lachu the 1 May 10 at 21:13. New
Many times people have created document with many pictures or with some hierarchy. If I have many pages, many images and need to change one, then I must search it in entire document.

Solution #1: Object galery.
Written by Lachu the 1 May 10 at 21:13.
Add object gallery to OO writer. It should divide document into many categories, like images, paragraph, headlines, etc. Thanks that I could navigate and edit a document in very simple and flexible way.
