Hi all,
usually nautilus correctly recognises an encrypted harddrive when it is being connected. Unfortunately most ppl using this will also use lvm within the encrypted drive to split the encrypted disk into / and /home but to recognise that is a problem for nautilus. You just type in the password after connecting and the rest has to be done manually on the cli.
So my suggestion would be that when an encrypted hd is connected it is shown as "encrypted disk" but when clicked and the password has been filled in, the lvm would be recognised and the "encrypted disk" entry would disappear and the logical drives should appear.
