Well after upgrading to KDE 4.0, Im pretty sure theres some joke Im missing. Its like they took the worst of Windows Vista, and added it, whilst throwing away any bits of KDE 3.5 that had anything to do with usability.

Seriously, are the coders just writing these features cos they're fun to work on, or is anyone actually directing the KDE project?

Its not even about it being a beta, its just full of bad design decisions.

There'll be no Windows beaters in that codebase, Im pretty sure. Someone take control of it, PLEASE :((

However it should be nice to change the layout a bit, because its too vista-like, but the main idea is good. (from my perspective)
