Description
tuxonice is a lot faster than the standard suspend in the kernel, I currently wait longer than for a full reboot (and that is already horribly slow) for my wakeup.

Standard suspend only takes a few seconds on the installs I've had that actually work. Presumably this is for hibernate instead. There seems to be some politics going on about the choice of suspend and hibernate packages to use. It would make things simpler for users if a clear winner emerged - or at least a common kernel interface to allow easier swapping between methods.
