Description
It is annoying to have your home directory full of configuration files.
So instead, clean it up by move them to their own directory.
So instead of /home/user/. they're placed in /home/user/.config/ or something instead.
This makes it cleaner, nicer, easier, more hierarchic and structural.

The whole point of dotfiles is that you don't see them.
What exactly do you keep in your home directory that's hidden besides config files?

It's alway a pain to make manual clean up/backup/etc because all the configuration/data file are hide.
I understand that important to hide the configuration directory but make it cleaner.
~/.config/application_name/something
I have more than 50 hidden file and directory in the root of my home directory and halt of its have helpful name like : .recently-used, .cache, .serverauth.6870

Yeah, and it be easier to just copy configuration files, by taking the .config directory with you, without have to copy all the hidden files.
