Synchronization link between system on Pendrive and Home computer

The idea is make possible to configure a link between Home Computer and a removable media install (on a pendrive or a portable hard disk).

When that link is configured and pendrive is pluged on it, Home Computer ("master" system) could recognize that "slave" system on pendrive and provide full (or customized) Home folder and Settings synchronization.

I suppose Ubuntu Mobile Edition should provide similar syncronization feature between systems, in this case Home and Mobile device... so this can be considered as an extension of that feature.

i like the idea. better yet, make it automagically mount encrypted partitions created for that purpose. if you carry your personal information around, it'd be better to have it encrypted (losing a pen drive is not all that uncommon, and i wouldn't want someone accessing, for example, all passwords i saved in firefox/thunderbird).
