Here is my reasoning:

1) You are installing an application because you actually need to use it. Why would you need to use 20-30 apps at once? Especially 20-30 _new_ applications that you're not at all familiar with.

2) You are installing an application because you just want to try it out. Can you reasonably assess 20-30 applications at one?


Is there a good use-case for this feature, or is it a need to be more like Windows?
