Description

Improve the installer to install other things that not only are applications.

Could be classified as:

- Applications
- Codecs
- Fonts
- Themes
- Widgets
...

Similar to as does firefox and additions. (Extensions, Themes, Languages)

Especially codecs! (And please ask whether the user wants to install additional codecs BEFORE the copying process starts, so that the user can walk away from the machine while the install itself is being performed.)

As has been said countless times elsewhere, many of the codecs are non-free and thus cannot be legally included in the installation.

The purpose of the installer is to get you into a working system that should be able to connect to the internet -- whence you can get the rest of the software we all crave (either through Add/Remove or Synaptic).

Don't bloat the installer, please.

Useless in DE like KDE which uses KGetHotNewStuffs, that are more genius than putting themes or stuffs like this on the deb servers...
