http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/item/10704/ there are manuals to configure xorg and also installing intel945 drivers issue.but i doubt messing up system,so it will be great help.
alternatively if this is not possible gui to intel 945.it can be default or
in repository because most of the people want it to be default
