Idea #10019: Better time synchronization support

Written by Eldmannen the 19 Jun 08 at 00:22. Category: Others. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
My system got the wrong time.

When I click on the synchronize button, nothing really happens.

When I select "Keep synchronized with Internet servers", nothing really happens.

It should be better time synchronization support. It should say "Trying to contact time server...", "Synchronizing time...", then "Done" or "Failed". Now I get no status whether it worked or not.

Also, you should be able to synchronize from the command-line.
