I would love to be able access my data on all of my Ubuntu running Machines, media server, desktop, laptop, Asus EEE, and Android Phone etc securely accross the internet.
Currently this is complicated to set up and requires using outside comapnies to deal with Internet addressing and security issues.
I would love it If Ubuntu could just put a magic button on my directories and files where I could just press and automatically using my log_on password share my data and files across the internet to where ever I am.
I would be happy to pay Canonical Ubuntu for this service as I would trust them and it would be a one stop solution.
They could also offer other premium services to offset the cost of developing Ubuntu.

Faster Firefox on Ubuntu

Hi!
I note that Firefox (2.0.x) on Ubuntu is slower than Firefox on Windows XP/Vista.
On Ubuntu, this app is less reactive, and it could be a bit irritative for new users (and also the others)
I'm sure a faster browser could be appreciated for Ubuntu users.
Thank you for considering this feature.
(Sorry for my poor English)

Update Pidgin in the repositories - fix ICQ bug

Pidgin Version 2.4.3 has been released 2008-07-01, the repositories still host 2.4.1. The current version fixes a serious problem that prevents ICQ from connecting since 2008-06-30.
I bet a lot of users are off-line right now, it is urgent to fix this as soon as possible.
Developer comments
The updated version of Pidgin that works with ICQ is now available via the update manager.

A new version of Firefox 2 is available and it would be great if it were in the official repository because it improves the security of the browser.

Fix re-entering wifi network password on every reboot.

I have to re-enter my wifi network password every time I reboot Ubuntu. I read some solution to keep the password in the some file, but in that case your user's password and network password should be same!
I tried doing same, and the result was that I was not able to login into my machine anymore.
Moreover windows just saves the password and never ask again!
A deal breaker for Wifi users who want to use Ubuntu!

Nautilus samba long connect time

If I connect to a samba share with smbclient, it connects instantly.
If I connect to a share with Nautilus, it can take minutes for it to connect. If I use an IP address it get's a bit better.
This is on a network of several hundred Windows and Linux samba shares
Why can't Nautilus connect as fast as smbclient? This should be fixed.
