Description
First of all, make compiz settings manager a default package in Ubuntu and put all the key bindings as one plug in.
under that again subdivide screen edges, mouse bindings and keyboard bindings.

Do you mean, bring out the key bindings so that to find them, you click
"System > Preferences > Advanced Desktop Effects Settings > Commands"
instead of
"System > Preferences > Advanced Desktop Effects Settings > General Options > Commands",
that is, bring it forward one level?
Do you also mean to add in all of the other key bindings that are set in the other plugins so that we have one big repository of compiz key bindings instead of having them spread out?

i mean, just put all the keybindings of all the plugins enabled in one place.
scale windows, expo , show dektop, cube etc.

Not just keyboard, screen edges, mouse etc can be had just like that(kybd shortcuts), inside or outside compiz settings manager.

@twright - actually, they're not.
@harish_kdSo I interpret this idea then as one place in Advanced Desktop Effects Settings where all of the shortcuts are double listed - they remain where they are now, but there's another way to get at all of them. This would, of course, include the custom shortcuts found in General Options > Commands. It wouldn't remove any existing functionality, just add new functionality withing the CCSM Advanced Desktop Effects Settings window.
If that's what it is, +1 :)

Well boy, isn't this thread just a gem of chronological order.

Just checking to see if Brainstorm orders our comments correctly yet.

I think frogitts has a good idea. Generally speaking, the end user doesn't know nore cares if he/she are using Compiz or Metacity. Settings should be the same for both window managers. I think the way Mac OS X sets up Expose and spaces, etc is a good point to start from.
