Idea #9956: drag and drop problem

Written by everlasting.puneet the 17 Jun 08 at 06:46. Category: Graphics. Related project: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Rationale
take a look at this before reading down for more clearity

http://opensourcepsl.blogspot.com/2008/06/drag-and-drop-problem.html

while copying files or dragging and dropping
it feels annoying that i have to go to task bar then and have to wait few seconds to pop the window up. this should be changed to like this :
when some one selects and presses left click for selecting the state of windows should not be changed until the mouse is released it should remain intact ... this will help in easy draging and dropping.

I think the way you wrote your idea is very confusing.
It is a good idea, but I recommend to edit the description and formulate it more clearly.
Otherwise you'll not get many votes.

Try dragging your file over the VLC task bar to bring VLC to the front, then drop it onto the VLC window...

It should be reported as a bug, not an idea...

try the scale thing in compiz to copy...
thats what i find is the best way to copy between windows...

make the scale plugin to intiate when the cursor is brought to the bottom left corner... the windows go apart and you can easily drop it over the window (right in the scale plugin mode)..

you dont have to wait on the taskbar....
just drag the file to the corner ..no delay
