Idea #9903: packages notifications

Hi, I noticed something, when I install an update for firefox 3 on the repos, a notification appears in the tray telling me to restart firefox.

I think that at least the apps in the repos that have the ubuntu supported logo and are GUI apps. Should have their packages modified so when you install them for the first time this sort of notification would appear explaining how to access the new application.

It is more ubuntu-like, easier to implement and (IMO) less annoying than the usual suggestion to highlight the new menu entries.
