Description
During the installation of ubuntu can add a screen selection of software that you wanted to install (with a brief explanation of his role). This does not install programs that are not going to use, saving time of installation and hard disk space.
For example, I do not use evolution, then that will allow me to not install it
Sorry for my English, I speak Spanish

I would like see just few major categories like Games, Office, ... Installer must stay easy and quick. Additional action could be post installation introduction and tour with possibility to skip it and invoke it from System > Help area.

Yes, this would be of great interest.
Default install of unneeded packages isn't that fine.
The possibility to add a list of packages to install from, e.g. floppy or USB memory-key, would be very appreciated too.
The idea is to save the installed packages list through apt and dpkg and use it to recover the same install configuration of the o.s. during or after a reinstall from scratch.
This helps recovering the original work environment, useful to cleanup the installation.
