bhuvi, why not edit the idea to have the correct new version.

Anyway, this should be filed as a bug in launchpad, not as an idea.

Thanks for your participation in launchpad.

For packaging request, please file a bug in bugs.launchpad.net in the future as packagers will be able to take the request. Packaging needs to be reviewed by developers and packagers but it does not need votes to get accepted.

From now on, I forwarded this suggest to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/edgy/+source/vlc/+bug/122207 as 0.8.6h release is a security bug fix.
