Description
I think that the "Notebook Remix" theme is great. It is sexy, bold and innovative, just like GNU/Linux ;). http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/03/canonical-makes-ubuntu-netbook-remix-officia l-at-computex/
I know that a lot of people don't like the "brown" in Ubuntu but this variation of the theme is way better. What do you think? I think its great because it sets Ubuntu apart from all others but at the same time its simple and elegant.

P.S By theme I mean just the color and art. Not the interface itself.

Not suited for a desktop.

I don't mean the style itself. Just the colors and the art.

Looks pretty same to me, except that black thing which seems to be just an application...

Eldmannen, if climatewarrior prefers "Notebook Remix" for her desktop or laptop then surely she should have the _option_. If it's not suitable for, and difficult to work with on, a desktop that's her problem. I, sure as heck, won't be using it.

I see it as similar to people choosing to use Gnome over KDE or XFCE: it's difficult to use, but they're still entitled to have a preference for it, no matter how stupid that may be.

To have "Notebook Remix" as an OPTIONAL theme: Vote = +1

Brown is lame and ugly.

Ubuntu needs to adopt complete black if it wants to go dark, or go lighter.

Actually, I just worked out what Brown is from wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_psychology

Calm, boldness, depth, natural organisms, nature, richness, rusticism, stability, tradition, anachronism, fascism, boorishness, dirt, dullness, filth, heaviness, poverty, roughness, earth (classical element), October, Capricorn, Scorpio (reddish brown, star signs), down-to-earth. Brown can stimulate the appetite, wholesomeness, steadfastness, simplicity, friendliness, and dependability.

Not sure associating dullness with an OS is a good or bad idea (sarcasm)
