Description
In order to promote Ubuntu we could work with our allies at Google to start a Google Adwords campaign.

Since Ubuntu and Google have a history of working together, Google might be willing to give us an discount off an adwords campaign.

Yeah, if we could arrange this for free then this would be great.
If not, then I rather see the money spent on improving Ubuntu.
I rather want the software I use to work better, than to spread the message to mortals with malware.

That's kind of low...
And I think Ubuntu or Linux is ready for users that would change to Linux Ubuntu just because of errors in Vista.
There are many things to be made better before you could do this. Some hardware is still not supported or it's badly supported, so there would be even more posts in sense: "My something something isn't working, this Linux sux! I thought it will be better then Vista but its not..." and similar.
I think that decision which OS to use should be based on deep pondering and not swift decision made because you got the BSoD third time in one day. Even there is no BSoD in Linux, but there are cryptic errors or thing that demand a lot of CLI work to get repaired. Not the best way to win or to keep recent Windows users on Ubuntu, and I think that it could even backfired in a way that those that couldn't get their WiFi card working properly or something like that will go on telling others that Linux sux. So I'm must sadly vote this down for a simple reason of this ending in "disaster".
Everybody has to make his or hers own choice on which OS to use and should not be tricked by some commercial that's giving away "fools paradise".
So with great sorrow, but hoping it's for the best I'll give this idea -1.
It has good intentions, but there is a great possibility of ending horribly wrong

"Ubuntu or Linux is ready for users" should have read:
"Ubuntu or Linux isn't ready for users"
That makes more sense now...

I think Adwords advertising is a good idea and so I voted +1. I do not think it is a good idea to use negative keywords. Better use positive keywords to improve brand awareness amongst people that do not know Ubuntu (that good). Also, only small amounts of money should be spend on this and no big money.

Example keywords:
* operating system (note that Mac OS X has a very good ranking on this search, and think at the same time about how sexy the Apple brand is!)
* windows vista (people that are not sure if it is worth to switch from XP to Vista may already have heard about Ubuntu...so reminding them about this when they are looking for Vista is probably a good idea)
*

You have a point, it that would be more appropriate to use positive keywords instead of negative ones.
