Description
Ubuntu's keyring facility is nice, but is a far cry from a real password manager. While there are several password manager's in the repository, none of them are very good and none of them are integrated into the keyring. Of the bunch, probably KeePassX is the best.
Seahorse, which is the (optionally installed) GUI to the keyring is good at storing keys, but doesn't handle web site passwords, credit card numbers, etc.
Ubuntu needs a highly secure all-in-one password/key/private note manager. Ideally it would be integrated into Firefox and Thunderbird such that those systems would work with the keyring.

It does handle browser stuff when you use Epiphany, which is the DEFAULT browser of Gnome desktop. It also can handle the other things rather well, such as wlan passwords and random secrets such as credit card numbers...
The problem is only in the way Ubuntu developers screwed it up. :-)

What are the advantages of KeePassX over revelation?

I was able to go to a presentation for future ideas from M$ and one of the ideas that intrigued me was a system they called "My Cards" (to be implemented in Vista and other future OSs). Each card was an authentication for the current user (username, password, and other form data that may be needed). Each time a login page came up, your My Cards would come up with possible matches. It meant you could quickly get to all your locked info without having to remember different usernames and passwords.
It would be cool if Ubuntu had a similar program. I would strongly suggest that all the info is stored in an encrypted folder that is only accessible by the user that owns the data. Even root would not be able to read the information (though they would have the ability to delete it as a system maintenance feature).

SeaHorse is already installed by default, so this idea is implemented I guess now.

Yes, I think the same as in this idea!! A better Integration in Programs which are used by normal Users today. eg Revelation (for Gnome), or Keepassx (Crossplatform). ++1 :D
