Description
Update the Nvidia graphics device driver to the latest version which is 173.14.05.
It adds support for GeForce 9, preliminary support for X.Org server 1.5 and fixed lots of bugs.

Please don't ask for packages to be updated. This is not the place. They will be updated in time. The MOTUs have over 20,000 to deal with - get on the relevant IRC channel and volunteer to help if you want it done.

Before then, grab the binaries from: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_173.14.05.html if you need 9x00 support now.

i still haven't been able to get nvidia to work again since i updated to 8.04 - I hope this new nvidia driver fixes things...

It will get updated as soon as it passes testing. Enable 'hardy-proposed' if you'd like it (though not sure if it's there yet).

This won't happen. It's too risky to be upgrading something as important as a graphics driver in a stable release. The drivers that shipped with Feisty didn't support the 8 series cards. I had to use Envy to fix that. If you want the latest driver use Envy or install it manually. Asking for packages here won't help any.
