Description
Firefox should be able to select more than one language at same time. This would save the hassle for people that write in multiple languages saving the hassle of having to change it all the time.
By being optional, this feature WOULD NOT affect similar languages since user can simply disable one of the languages selected. A good example that different languages wouldn`t affect each other is that many language are way too different from each other in its alphabet, such as, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Glingon or Elvish.
So if Firefox dictionary finds the word it should be correct cause Japanese characters won`t have similar in Russian and vice versa.
The other case would be to select multiple dictionaries of the same language.

Yes, certainly. It sucks trying to edit something like the Wikipedia with Firefox's British English spellchecker telling me that American English words are incorrect.

Thats because american english words ARE incorrect :P
But yeah, I agree with this, its a great idea. Even more useful for speakers of multiple languages

Even so, it's a Firefox idea. Ubuntu has nothing to do with it.
You need to tell Mozilla devs about this idea.

I don't get it idea - it's already implemented. I have 4 languages installed in ubuntu. If I right-click on a textarea in firefox and choose language, I can select a dictionary which will be used in that field. Only one can be enabled at a time, but I think it would be very confusing to have more than one active in the same field...
