Description
It would be nice if Ubuntu had a clean boot mode with an option for verbose boot mode (Press F2 for verbose mode) that was as clean and polished as the new Zenwalk distribution. Here are some screen shots taken from Phoronix.

I, for one, like the fact that the background of the splash screen becomes the background of the login page. It looks good, especially the blue.

It does. Have you not seen the pretty load bar that leaves artifacts all over the place?
