I propose that the Desktop Cube should be enabled by default instead of the Desktop Wall.

I like cube, its pretty. I only use one desktop though lol.

People are attracted to pretty stuff (think compiz-fusion YouTube videos). Thus, if Ubuntu ships looking very pretty with a default of desktop cube (preferably on LiveCD) and high graphical effects, it is a better advertisement.

This demands compiz to be added to core programs.
But not all want to use it.
Also it can be bad for slower machines; so -1 from me.
Maybe your computer woks better with cub i know my has some problems with it. And it's not that bad of an computer.

old comps work very slooooooooow with cube,but work okay with the Desktop Wall.

I can run compiz-fusion with the desktop cube on a Geforce 2. It is already a core program.
