Idea #8692: More user information

Related to: Nothing/Others. Status: New
Description
Maybe some of you like the anonymity, but I think it would be nice to have a bit more user information. But it shouldn't be mandatory.
Like:

When certain user joined the Brainstorm
Why this could be bad: Gerontocracy meaning that the users that are here from very beginning would be voted up, because they are here for so long, they know what they're talking...
Sex of the user; now Brainstorm assumes that all users on Brainstorm are males, hopefully there are some women users also. Then change for females from his ideas to hers ideas...
Number of ideas he or she posted so I don't to "see" all of them to know that.
Maybe also residence; from where users are...
"Latest idea posted Sunday 12.5.2008 at 13:35" to know how active is the user is.
....
--------
But not age, or make it "really" mandatory, because I admit that ideas that are proposed by 14-year old lose all of integrity with me. But they are even now easily detected because of their lack of their writing skills, that or English is their second or even third language (For me is second but I learned it since kindergarten, and there is always Firefox to repair your mistakes). I'm 21 years old if anyone wants to know.

I personally think the less we know about the user the best we can focus on its Ideas.

Try to vote on an idea after your national football team lost to some other country, it wouldn`t work here in England (football can change a mood drastically here!).

But the He/She issue really should be changed as it is a bit weird not to mention that excluding "she" from vocab in brainstorm sounds a bit unfair. We could probably use He/She or even "it" instead of either "he" or "she" individually.

Brainstorm is about ideas, this is not facebook or myspace.

We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias...

My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like.

Don't need to know age, gender, nationality or anything.
The only thing that matters are good ideas.

-1 in general.

But I'd +1 any idea to remove the gendered language. There's no option to specify my gender, so I feel using "his", "he" is very inappropriate.

For a straight translation, "their" and "they" would be appropriate, but the strings could be reworded too.

You're probably right, I never wanted to pitch an idea that would change brainstorm in to myspace.
BTW holizz I voted your idea up.
