I think, working reliably with 32bit windows apps should be priority.
Which Windows apps do you need, that only exist as 64bit

I agree.

If anyone is bored and feel like implementing 64-bit, then heres an idea. :)

I believe 64-bit support should be added since the 64-bit version of Windows Vista is being preloaded into regular computers in stores not to mention the next Windows will not have a 32-bit version so it would be wise to get ready for the future of software.

voting +1 anyway, but honestly, what apps do you have that need 64-bit?

Once there are apps that need it, Wine will support it. Right now you'll find resistance from developers who say "show me the app that needs 64-bit APIs before I add 64-bit APIs".

Also, I believe there are problems with gcc not supporting the calling conventions that windows uses...

er, obviously just the calling conventions for 64-bit. anyway, gcc will probably need to be patched for support first.

Half-Life 2 has a 64-bit version. NOT a 64-bit patch..an actual 64-bit version, there's an example. Half-Life 2 happens to be a game I really love deep inside ;)
