Description
I think it would be useful to be able to open multiple pdf files within the same viewer window. I know that I would use this feature a lot, because I like to multi-task, so I read multiple ebooks or whatever a the same time a lot... but yeah, it would also be cool if there were an option to view your tabbed documents side-by-side somehow for comparison purposes, Im sure that would come in handy sometimes...

but yeah, we have a tabbed text editor, and web browser, so why not a tabbed pdf viewer?

Sure, why not. Except you don't report it here!

Go here:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=evince

For severity, select "enchancement", and then write down your tabbed idea. Then Evince developers have a bunch better chance of seeing your idea.

This might be a duplicate of 5284.
Btw on http://blogs.adobe.com/acroread/2008/03/feature_requests_for_adobe_rea.html this feature is also requested for Acroread, so until now this would probably a unique feature to the document viewer which implements it first.

Great idea! +1

But actually you have two ideas in this one. Maybe you can create a new idea with the side-by-side-view of evince. That would get another +1 frome me.
