I agree with Eldmannen we shouldn't be able to vote for our own ideas. For the same reason that you said that it should be started +1.

i have some ideas i do not vote for them, but think may be others will vote for them.
also i do not agree with disallowing votes to own ideas.

don't be "egoistic". we should not vote only because that idea is own.

I agree. We should not be able to vote for our own ideas. Whether they start off with 0 or 1 or -2943765368759 is, in my opinion, an irrelevant matter of taste.

Francois, I didn't report the dupe, because the dupe system needs revamping. It got to the point I was spending half my time on Brainstorm just reporting dupes.

And it takes only a small amount of effort to improve the dupe system to make marking dupes effortless, so I am waiting for that

my idea does not mean that i support it or vote for it.
may be it is just an interesting idea and i want to show this idea to another people but i myself do not know exactly whether i against or i support it.
