Description

The boottime of xandros, the default linux install on the uber cheap EeePC boots up in 15 seconds! why couldn't we be that fast?!

Excellent idea. There is really no reason for the poor performance of Ubuntu on a clean install. Much of the problem is with i386 binary, but also lots of stuff that could be parallelized is not being done.

I hope they improve on this in future versions.
