Brainstorm should also show the percentage of votes which are positive votes, near the total votes. Because even +2000 votes may be misleading.
For example. 2000 as a score for an idea is great. But if 10000 people voted to get that idea, only 60% of people actually liked it. When another idea might have 1500 votes, but EVERYone liked it. The current stats are meaningless!
You could make this an option in "my profile", and it would allow us, to gain a greater understanding of how people REALLY voted.
I am in support of it if this does not lead to bad effects, like people refusing to vote if too many people already voted for some idea (i.e. if 5000 people cant agree that something is either good or bad, then why should i bother trying to influence this.)
- When an idea has zero votes what does it means?
1. Nobody voted for that
2. 50% voted Pro and 50% voted Con (and it could mean 2000 people voted or maybe 4 people :-p)
- When you see an idea with -3 votes it means the majority voted it negatively ? (read the question above).
When you see percentages you will extinguish those kind of doubts. If only I could link this idea to #9256...
