Description
Python, and OGRE...

...we have them both on Ubuntu, but we don't have pyogre: http://www.python-ogre.org/

Getting things like this packaged up would be great for game devs.

mmm... no.

If you need to develop a game, you install the necessary packages (pyogre, pygame, whatever).

If you need to install a game which uses pyogre, the dependency system will take care of installing pyogre when required.

I am absolutely *against* installing every library on earth just because "it _could_ be usefull".

Oops... sorry. I read too fast.

I missed the point that pyogre is not *packaged* for Ubuntu (not *installed*).

Yes please, because getdeb.net can't package several games because of the missing pyogre.

that of course means they can't be added to repositories

Please use the procedures described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/NewPackages for requesting and creating new packages for inclusion in the repositories.
