Description
As i've heard about ubuntu is that is the ugliest ditro, and y think it's because of the colours.. They're so not easy to the eye, its too dark, I tried Hardy Beta and its awesome artwork there, but.... the colours.. so, Why not us, the Ubuntu community change them?

I don't like the color brown, I think it is ugly.
Ubuntu is an exception though. I really like the look of Ubuntu, it looks really good despite it being brown (which I usually don't like).
You can change Appearance though in System->Preferences->Appearance.

You can do this on your own... And personally, I like the color scheme.

Yeah, it doesn't come easy, but after a while you don't want to change anymore. I got used to it, then I started to like it and now I defend it :o)

Ugly is subjective.
Brown being today instantly associated to ubuntu, is objective.

shovelhead,
I agree with you, I used to hate brown too. During my first month with Ubuntu I always change the theme. But nowadays I stick with the default and a great defender of it :)
Love the brown, the orange and the humanity.

At first when I saw the brown it looked shitty. But then when I changed jobs and realized that most people aren't green/pink (Summer pink/winter green) like me but are actually brownish all the time I came to understand why brown is the color of Ubuntu. Eventually it just looked normal.
