I dont agree at all.. This idea SPECIFICALLY says:

Place bookmark for http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ in upcoming Ubuntu 8.04

Please do it before shipping final 8.04 release.

All ideas targetted towards 8.04 release should be marked as irrelevent on release. This one is a last ditch effort to get it in..

I think that you could dramatically increase the userbase of this awesome idea by simply including it somewhere in the release itself. Hell advertise it in the install.
