Big -1

We both know its way too late to make this change (don't pretend you don't).

And if any of the team are actually monitoring Brainstorm at the moment, they probably shouldn't be, because final testing should probably have all hands on deck

There is 0% chance this will happen, if they aren't compiling the iso by now, I'd be surprised. I'd be even more surprised if they want to making changes to firefox in the last few hours. That would be silly,

Auzy wrote on the 24 Apr 08 at 07:51
And I'd also like to add, do these dozens of people voting this up actually realise how late it is in the development cycle?

agreed
...but Auzy dont you agree its good to have this idea posted not to forget to make it in 8.10 ?

Auzy wrote on the 24 Apr 08 at 08:12
This is different

I dont agree at all.. This idea SPECIFICALLY says:

Place bookmark for http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ in upcoming Ubuntu 8.04

Please do it before shipping final 8.04 release.

All ideas targetted towards 8.04 release should be marked as irrelevent on release. This one is a last ditch effort to get it in..

Auzy wrote on the 24 Apr 08 at 08:15
I mean, I dont agree to keep it published..

That sounded a bit harsh when I put it that way before.. ;)

Description can be edited, but idea may stay. I voted for. I used gentoo about 5 years. Now i am using ubuntu about two weeks. Placing bookmark in firefox is rapidly faster way to find this very usable page :)

gmarketer wrote on the 24 Apr 08 at 09:44
Yes, I'm understand what I'm too late :)

If they have no time to do that they can place link to brainstorm in default firefox start page http://start.ubuntu.com/8.04/ . Now there is no link to brainstorm.

swalko, I dont want to be a nazi, but the title cant be edited..

gmarketer wrote on the 24 Apr 08 at 12:15
It's idea only for 8.04. All right.

Auzy wrote on the 25 Apr 08 at 03:10
Actually, editing the startpage can be done.. so I would have voted for that (if you post another, I'll still post for it) :)

Because that is very safe to do.. Whereas, messing with bookmarks wasn't

there is the extension ubuntu menu for firefox. It includes all bookmark like wiki, forum, brainstorm ecc. It would be nice to have it as default.

I posted an idea that would integrate well with this idea.

The only way I found out about brainstorm.ubuntu was by stumbling on it. I think it's a great idea, and I'd never even known it existed. I even frequent Ubuntu forums.

I think that you could dramatically increase the userbase of this awesome idea by simply including it somewhere in the release itself. Hell advertise it in the install. Also put a link on the default homepage, or put it in the bookmark linkbar. I predict a massive influx of users upon doing this.
