Description
The splash screen that shows after you login always has an orange background. This doesn't really fit with my customized theme. I think if the spashscreen was shown above a screengrab of the login window, it would be very professional, even when you have changed your theme.

Also, if compiz could load in the background of the spashscreen, it would look much smoother than what it is now (Splashscreen, blank orange, desktop)

That way, the desktop would be completely loaded once the splash screen goes away.

So, I guess your definition of always is : "completely configurable".

This would be fine as long as there is an option to turn off the splash screen.
