'Phun' is an interesting physics playground/sandbox program. Not very useful or important, but it would probably be 'phun' to have around...

From http://www.phun.at/ "Is the source code going to be released?

I'm planning on it, yes, but I haven't decided on a license or set a date yet."

So it's closed source now.

It is closed source.

It is also amazingly easy to install it without any repo.

Amazing program! would be very nice to have it in the repositories, even if it is not open source... Opera is also closed source and is in the repositories...

Oops, I voted on it, then I saw it was closed source in the comments. :(

I have been tricked! :(

Please don't go around making bold statements like that without double checking...

Phun seems to be OK as a tar.gz, you can get it compiled and it works fine.

Why not? However the program must be licensed under a license that grant re-distribution by ubuntu. The source code must also be available or it will be very difficult to add it to the repositories. Apparently, it doesn't seem to be ready yet..
